Software Projects
Movie Roulette
Choosing a movie from your own list, with a random draw and watched history.
- Personal Project
- Local browser persistence

Context
Movie Roulette makes choosing a film easier using a list of titles added manually or imported. Total, pending and watched counts summarize the list. Populated captures show the real source interface with temporary generic sample movie data, not real viewing activity.

Core flow
Use the real random draw to select from the eligible list, optionally restricting it to unwatched films. After watching, mark the film as watched. Pending, watched and history tabs keep these states separate.
- Choose a film
- Watch the film
- Mark it as watched
- Keep state locally

Persistence model
Movie titles, watched state, the unwatched filter, the last draw and recent draw history persist in browser localStorage, without accounts. The history shown here was generated by the actual spin interaction using temporary sample titles.

Product tradeoff
Bolão needed account-based persistence because multiple participants had separate predictions. Movie Roulette kept saved state on the local browser/device without accounts. These projects used different persistence models for different needs.
